As the demand for green products continues to grow, Silver Line continues to strengthen our commitment to sustainable, environmentally friendly products and practices. In addition to providing durable, energy efficient windows and doors to our customers that help reduce the consumption of natural resources, we've embraced Lean production practices that require less energy to manufacture our products and generate less waste in the process. • Reducing scrap and waste in the production process by investing in technologies that maximize material usage.
• Reclaiming and reusing scrap materials such as vinyl, glass, aluminum and cardboard.
• Recycling excess manufacturing materials such as paper and bottles.

ENERGY STAR

Andersen Corporation, including its subsidiary Silver Line Building Products LLC, earned the 2011 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award. We are proud to be recognized by ENERGY STAR for the second year in a row for providing energy efficient products that help customers save money and conserve valuable natural resources.

WDMA

The Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) Hallmark Certification program includes product testing and quality control process audits to verify that Silver Line windows and doors are produced in conformance with the industry standards for air, water resistance and structural performance.

SmartWay

SmartWay is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) program that Silver Line works with to adopt freight transportation practices that help protect the environment, reduce fuel consumption and improve air quality.

NAHB

Silver Line® vinyl windows and patio doors are Green Approved by the NAHB Research Center. Silver Line has gained this approval by providing independent, third-party evidence that our vinyl products comply with specific green practice criteria in the National Green Building Standard, the best existing standard for green and sustainable residential products.

NFRC

Silver Line products are certified under the National Fenestration Rating Council's (NFRC) voluntary third-party certification program designed to ensure accurate energy performance ratings and labeling.
